WebJan 5, 2016 · #1 I have a Alienware 18, have installed HWiNFO64 but cant seem to change the fan speed for the GPU fan. The fan works as it spins up for a few seconds when you boot the laptop but will not come on in window even when it hits 100c. Have updated to latest Bios Running windows 8.1 WebExtremely high fan rpm with low cpu temps in some games and applications. Q2rtx and furmark are worst offenders . I believe I’ve found the issue to be related to vram temps. The card is seeing it getting too hot and is triggering the fan speed. Using precision x1 i underclocked my memory speed by 1000mhz and it shaved a ton of fan rpm off ...
