WebJul 21, 2024 · Reason #1. Let me begin with a few reasons why 1080P is so popular. Reason number 1 is pricing, it is so much cheaper to get a 1080P gaming monitor that is high refresh rate than going with something slightly higher resolution like 1440P and even 4K. Those high resolution/high refresh rate monitors are really inaccessible to most. WebDid some testing and 4k is a no go, but at 1440p DLSS performance you can hit 55-65fps with some drops in the 40s in heavy areas. At 1080p you should get a locked 60 without much of an issue. I‘m actually surprised how good the 3080 powers through it, I was expecting a slide show, but the performance is good enough that I‘ll play the game ...

WebApr 22, 2024 · Gaming at 1080p on a 1440p monitor. That GPU will run 1440p nicely. You can turn down AA in 1440p in the majority of games because with such a high resolution, AA is not necessary. You can also turn down things like shadows (low to medium), grass quality (medium), hairworks (OFF) and ambient occlusion (always put on low). Web1080p is really in the past, it's nice to have 360hz but rarely do you get over 300fps let alone 360hz, it causes a jittery mess in siege & I sorta regret this purchase, should've waited til the 1440p @ 360hz offering from Asus released but for $400 not bad value ... I really recommend it for fps games and for any games in which you can get 360 ... is kn a scrabble word

A 60hz 1080p capture device will work fine for capturing 1440p 165 hz gameplay.
